Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. raisins
    3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. canned applesauce
Preparation
    Sift first 9 ingredients together.
    Add raisins and nuts and toss to coat.
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add an egg one at a time and mix well.
    Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven about 50 minutes or until done.
