Cherry Coke Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small pkg. wild cherry jello *
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1 c. pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 can dark pitted cherries
    10 oz. Coke
    1 container Cool Whip or sour cream
Preparation
    Mix juice from cherries and pineapple with enough water to make 2 cups liquid.
    Bring to boil, then dissolve jello in mixture. Pour in Coke (mixture will foam).
    Put in refrigerator to thicken. Cut cream cheese into small pieces.
    When jello has thickened, add fruit, nuts and cream cheese.
    Pour into mold or bowl.
    Serve with Cool Whip as dessert or with sour cream as salad.
