Tailgate Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce, shredded
1 c. green pepper, diced
1/2 c. red pepper, diced
1 c. onion, diced
1 c. celery, diced
1 (17 oz.) can English peas, drained
1 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
1 c. bacon, fried crisp and broken in pieces
Preparation

Place in layers in order written.
Spread mayonnaise on each layer. Sprinkle each layer with sugar.
If you like the bacon crisp when served, wait until you serve before putting bacon in or on dish.
Refrigerate overnight.
