Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. butter
    2 c. pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Prepare cake as directed.
    Pour 1/2 of the batter into 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Melt caramels with milk and butter over low heat.
    Pour over partly cooked cake.
    Sprinkle pecans and chocolate chips over mix. Pour remaining cake batter over all and cook for 20 minutes.
