Lamb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    5 eggs, well beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cream the butter. Add sugar. Add eggs.
    Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Sift, measure and sift flour, salt, mace and baking powder together. Sift again. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture in 3 installments.
    Beat 1 minute after each addition. Add lemon juice. Beat 1/2 minute.
    Pour into bottom and face of lamb. Place on cookie sheet in oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven.
    Lift lid off.
    Usually done at this point.
