Golden Clam Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    1 3/4 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 c. chopped clams (save liquid; about 1 dozen medium clams or 2 to 3 cans)
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix beaten eggs with chopped clams and stir into flour mixture until thoroughly combined.
    Measure the clam juice; add enough water to equal 1 1/2 cups.
    Gradually stir into clam mixture to form a slightly thick batter that will fall easily from a spoon.
