Easy Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. each ginger, cinnamon and ground cloves
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Combine shortening and sugars. Add egg.
    Beat until fluffy. Add molasses and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place 2-inches apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 48 cookies.
