Microwave Fruit And Nut Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dried apricots or pitted dates (1 c.), chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
    1 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation
    In a 2-quart glass measure, cook margarine on High for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, until melted.
    Stir in apricots and sugar, then egg. Cook 5 minutes.
    Stir in cereal and pecans.
