Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pretzels, finely crushed
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. sugar, divided
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 (8 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
Preparation
    Mix together pretzels, margarine and 3 tablespoons sugar.
    Pat into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Cool. Combine cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and frozen whipped topping; spread over pretzel crust.
    Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water; stir in strawberries.
    Cool until mixture begins to congeal. Spoon over cream cheese mixture.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Cut into squares.
