Connecticut Yankee Strawberry Rhubarb Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly grated Connecticut nutmeg
3 c. rhubarb, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 c. sliced strawberries
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix first four ingredients and set aside, then combine strawberries and rhubarb with flour mixture.
Be certain it mixes well and let stand for about 20 minutes.
When ready, pour filling into 9-inch pastry shell.
Dot it with 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine.
Cover with pie crust and bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
