Cinnamon Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. red cinnamon candies
    1 c. boiling water
    6 medium peeled, sliced apples
    1 white cake mix
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Dissolve 1 tablespoon cinnamon candies in boiling water.
    Arrange apples in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Pour cinnamon flavored water over top.
    Combine cake mix, brown sugar and butter in large bowl.
    Stir until thoroughly blended.
    (Mixture will be crumbly.) Sprinkle crumbs over apple slices.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
    May be served with whipped topping.
