Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    1 c. water
    1 pkg. strawberry gelatin, minus 1 Tbsp., throw away
    1 pt. strawberries, washed, hulled, and halved
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, mix well.
    Add water and cook until thick and clear.
    Add gelatin.
    Let cool; pour half in cooled crust.
    Sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar over berries in a large bowl and toss slightly to coat and spoon over filling in crust.
    Cover with the rest of filling and place in refrigerator to set.
    Top with Cool Whip and decorate with a few berries.
