Cheese Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shredded cheese
    salt to taste
    1 onion, cut in rings (optional)
Preparation
    Clean and cut potatoes in thin slices.
    Boil potatoes about 5 minutes to partially cook.
    Melt butter over medium heat and blend in flour and salt.
    Add milk slowly.
    Cook until smooth and boiling.
    Reduce heat and add cheese.
