German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    1/2 lb. bacon, crumbled
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. hot water with pepper (optional)
    1 onion, diced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in skins.
    When cool enough to hold, dice potatoes.
    Fry bacon crisp.
    Crumble.
    Add potatoes with salt and pepper.
    Heat vinegar and water.
    Pour over mixture of potatoes. Heat oil.
    Pour over ingredients.
    Toss and set aside.
    Do not refrigerate.
    Serve at room temperature.
    This salad must be put together while hot.
