Virginia Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. salad oil
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs (large)
    3 c. chopped Virginia apples
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or black walnuts
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Mix oil with sugar in electric mixer until well mixed.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Sift flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt.
    Add vanilla and mix well. Slowly add the sifted flour mixture.
    Add the apples, nuts and raisins.
    Pour batter into a tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
