Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    beets
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Cook beets; skin and slice.
    In pot put sugar, vinegar, water, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
    Cook beets in liquid until it boils again.
    Pack in sterilized jars and seal.
    No processing needed.
    To seal, boil jar
    lids for 10 minutes and tighten jar rings.
    Let cool.
