Mixed Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. cucumbers
    2 qt. onions
    2 qt. cauliflower
    2 qt. celery
    salt
    4 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. mustard
    3 tsp. turmeric
    vinegar
    white mustard seed (optional)
Preparation
    Cut vegetables in chunks and put in salt overnight.
    Drain. Mix sugar, mustard and turmeric in vinegar to cover.
    Heat through.
    Add white mustard seed, if desired.
