Kari'S Caramel Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. soft butter
    1 can sweetened condensed milk
    1 pkg. caramels
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix together German chocolate cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
    Press half of mix in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 minutes.
    Melt caramels and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
    Stir frequently.
    Pour over baked layer.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
    Sprinkle reserved half of cake mix over the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Cut in small squares as these are very rich.
