Oreo-Ice Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream or ice milk
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    36 or 40 Oreo cookies
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Crush cookies until fine crumbs.
    Spread 1/3 of crumbs in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Let ice cream soften until you can stir it.
    Fold in Cool Whip, 1/3 of crumbs and nuts.
    Spread over crumbs in pan and sprinkle with remaining 1/3 of cookie crumbs. Freeze.
    Cut in squares to serve.
