Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 stick oleo
    5 egg yolks
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. coconut
    2 tsp. vanilla
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, oleo and Crisco.
    Add the 5 egg yolks, one at a time. Dissolve the soda in the buttermilk and set aside. Alternately add milk and soda mixture with flour to the egg mixture. Add nuts, coconut and vanilla.
    Beat the eggs
    until stiff.
    Fold in.
    Bake in layers at 325\u00b0 or bake in a Bundt pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
