Tomato Soup Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can tomato soup
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1/2 c. shortening (butter)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. dates or walnuts, as you prefer
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda, baking powder and spices (3 times).
    Cream shortening with sugar until fluffy.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and soup alternately in small amounts, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Stir in raisins and nuts.
    Pour into small loaf pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
    Let stand 12 hours if possible.
