Lemon Crackers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 pt. sweet milk
    1 oz. baking ammonia (not liquid)
    1 1/4 c. lard
    flour
    1 tsp. oil of lemon
Preparation
    Put ammonia between paper and pulverize, then put in milk and let stand 15 to 20 minutes.
    Do not use that which doesn't dissolve.
    Add other ingredients and enough flour to roll well. Cut and bake at 300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
    Over 100 years old.
