Cinnamon Apple Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

3 large eggs
1/3 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cubed (1/2-inch) firm-textured dry bread
2 c. peeled, sliced tart apples
Orange Sauce
Preparation

In medium bowl blend eggs, sugar, milk, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of butter and vanilla.
Add bread; mix well. Pour into a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Dip apple slices in remaining 1 tablespoon butter and arrange slices on top. Set casserole in a larger dish and place in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven.
Pour enough hot water in pan to come up 3/4 inch.
Bake, uncovered, about 1 hour.
Serve warm with Orange Sauce.
