Mom'S Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 2 crust 9-inch pie
    6 c. apples, peeled and sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. brandy
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon and brandy with melted butter.
    Mix the mixture lightly with apples.
    Place in pastry lined pan.
    Cover with top crust; make slashes in top crust to allow steam to escape.
    Seal ends and flute edges.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375\u00b0 and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes, or until crust is lightly brown.
