Peppermint Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. half and half
    3 (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. coarsely crushed peppermint candies
Preparation
    In a 6-quart ice cream freezer can stir half and half, condensed milk, milk, vanilla and 1 cup candy.
    Refrigerate for 1 hour or until thoroughly chilled.
    (I usually let it chill 4 to 5 hours.)
    Then freeze in ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's instructions.
    Just before freezing time is completed, add the other cup of crushed peppermints.
    (It always takes a long time to freeze.)
    Ice cream will be soft.
