Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
2 large eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. nuts (walnuts)
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oats.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Add brown and white sugar and margarine.
Stir until margarine melts. Add eggs and mix well.
Sift together flour, soda and cocoa.
Add to sugar mixture.
Mix well and add 1 cup of chocolate chips. Pour into 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Sprinkle nuts and remaining chips on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 40 minutes.
