Grated Carrot Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium carrots, peeled and grated
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1-inch cube ginger root, peeled and finely chopped
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. oil
1/4 tsp. chili powder and coriander powder
pinch of turmeric powder
salt to taste
a few sprigs cilantro leaves (for garnish)
Preparation

Mix grated carrots, chopped ginger, lemon juice, salt and spices; set aside.
Heat oil.
When hot, add green chilies and mustard seed.
When the seed starts making a cracking sound, remove from heat and pour over the salad mixture.
Mix well; garnish with cilantro.
