Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound candied pineapple
    1 pound candied cherries
    1 pound pecans (4 cups)
    2 tsp. vanilla extract (pure, not imitation)
    2 cups sugar
    3/4 pound (or 3 sticks) butter (or margarine)
    4 cups plain cake flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    6 eggs
    3/4 cup bourbon (may substitute frozen orange juice concentrate)
Preparation
    mix eggs, sugar, bourbon, vanilla, butter and baking powder - blend well.
    Mix chopped candied fruit and nuts together and pour plain flour over fruit and nuts and dredge until each piece is coated with flour.
    Then pour mixed liquid over floured fruit and nuts and mix well.
    Pour mixture into greased pan and bake for 3 hours in
    250 degrees oven.
    Place pie pan filled with water on lower rack in oven to keep cake moist while baking.
    Cool before removing from pan.
