Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 can cream-style corn
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    2/3 c. Crisco oil
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. grated cheese
    2 small chopped jalapeno peppers, seeded
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, sugar and cheese.
    Add onion, oil, eggs, milk and corn.
    Mix well.
    Fold in peppers.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan, well greased, at 350\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes.
