Hot Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. scalded milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold water
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    7 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation
    Combine shortening and boiling water; stir until shortening is melted.
    Combine eggs, sugar and salt and beat in cold water. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
    Combine 3 mixtures and add flour.
    If dough is too soft to hold shape, add 1/4 cup more flour.
    Cover and let stand in warm place 2 hours or until double in bulk.
    Shape into rolls and allow to rise until double again. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
