Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    5 c. milk
    2 large boxes instant vanilla pudding
    3 cans cherry or strawberry pie filling
    5 large bananas
    2 large cans crushed pineapple, drained
    2 large containers Cool Whip
    1 c. pecans
    1 small jar cherries
Preparation
    Bake cake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool and cut into small pieces.
    Mix milk with pudding.
    Layer in punch bowl as follows: 1/2 of cake pieces, 1/2 of pudding, 1 1/2 cans pie filling, 1/2 bananas and 1/2 crushed pineapple.
    Cover with Cool Whip and repeat layers, ending with Cool Whip.
    Top with nuts and cherries.
