Peach Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten hard
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. milk
    4 c. chopped peaches, fresh, frozen or canned, thoroughly drained
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and 2/3 cup sugar.
    Add beaten egg.
    Sift together flour and baking powder.
    Add alternately with milk. Beat until smooth.
    Pour over peaches that have been covered with 1 cup sugar in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
