Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 c. quick oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. boiling water
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars.
Add eggs and beat.
Add flour, oatmeal, salt and vanilla and mix.
In small cup, mix boiling water with baking soda, then add to dough and mix in.
Lastly, add nuts and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake in oven preheated to 350\u00b0.
