Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 or 4 large green tomatoes
Preparation
    Mix
    dry
    ingredients in a thin dish. Wash tomatoes and slice to
    desired thickness. Dip tomatoes in the eggs, then in flour mixture.
    Fry
    in hot shortening until brown.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Ready to eat.
