Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 green tomatoes
    1 egg
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika (for good browning)
    22 crushed Club crackers
    1/3 c. oil
Preparation
    Slice tomatoes.
    Whisk egg and water.
    Combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika and crackers.
    Dip tomato slice in egg wash, then coat both sides with flour mixture.
    Place on wax paper to dry 15 minutes.
    Heat oil in iron skillet.
    Fry tomatoes in single layer until golden brown on both sides, turning once.
    Drain on paper towels.
