Marinated Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. dried basil leaves
    1/2 c. sliced onions, separated
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
    Drain, cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Serve hot or cold.
