Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix
14 oz. pkg. caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Prepare cake mix according to directions.
Pour 1/2 batter into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, unwrap caramels and melt with evaporated milk and margarine in saucepan over low heat.
Pour mixture over hot cake, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top of caramel mixture.
Top with remaining cake batter.
Bake 25 minutes or until cake tests done.
Serve plain or with whipped cream or ice cream.
