Orange Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. hot water
1 c. orange juice (unstrained)
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. orange rind
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and hot water in a saucepan.
Gradually stir in orange juice.
Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Slowly stir half of mixture into slightly beaten egg yolks, then beat into rest of mixture in saucepot.
Boil 1 minute longer, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Blend in butter, lemon juice and rind.
Pour in baked pie shell.
Cover with meringue.
Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
