Best Ever Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (20 oz.) cans pineapple chunks
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 lb. pitted dried prunes
    1 lb. dried apricots
    2 cans cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Mix all together in a large pan.
    Simmer very gently for 45 minutes.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Refrigerate before serving.
