Ione'S Apple Crumble-Crust Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

5 to 6 c. sliced apples
1 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 c. salad oil (Wesson)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Sweeten apples as for pie; place in a large pie pan.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg with a fork; sprinkle on top of apples.
Over this pour 1/3 cup melted shortening or salad oil. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake until apples are done and crust is brown.
