John'S Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. corn meal
1/3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped
milk (as needed to mix)
cooking oil (for frying)

Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients.
Add egg and enough sweet milk to hold
shape.
Drop
by teaspoon into hot fat and cook until golden brown.
