Spanish Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1 clove garlic, mince
1 c. sliced onion
1 lb. ground beef
1 green pepper, cut
1 c. diced celery
3 1/2 c. tomatoes and juice
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. rice
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Melt fat.
Brown garlic and onion slightly, using high heat. Add meat and brown, then add pepper, celery, tomatoes and seasoning.
Cover and cook on high until steaming.
Stir mixture. Sprinkle rice on top.
Do not stir after adding rice.
Cover and turn switch to low and cook without removing cover for 30 minutes. Cook off 15 minutes.
May substitute 1/2 package of spaghetti for rice.
