Traditional Polish Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2/3 c. skim milk
    2 egg whites
    1/3 c. corn syrup (light)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. pecans
    1 c. coconut, shredded
Preparation
    Spray 2 (9-inch) round baking pans.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt.
    In a medium bowl, using a wire whisk, stir sugar and milk until blended.
    Add egg whites, corn syrup and vanilla.
    Stir until thoroughly blended.
    Do not beat egg whites first. Gradually add egg white mixture to flour mixture; stir until smooth.
    Add pecans and coconut and blend well.
    Pour into pans. Bake for 30 minutes.
