Courier-Journal Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 stick butter
    1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 stick butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1 c. broken nutmeats
    1 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to boil.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Spread on the still warm cake.
