Cabbage Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. shredded cabbage
    1 medium onion
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Saute onion in Crisco.
    Drain cabbage, add to onion and mix. Add hot water (about 1 cup) and bring to a boil.
    Add sugar, vinegar and a small amount of salt and pepper.
    Cover and reduce heat; simmer for about 45 minutes.
