Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. chicken
    1 lb. carrots, cut in pieces
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. water
    1/4 c. butter
    1 large onion
    1 1/2 c. celery, diced
    1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 c. frozen peas
    1 large egg, beaten
    1 flaky pastry recipe
Preparation
    In 5-quart Dutch oven, cook chicken (cut up), carrots, bay leaf, 1/2 teaspoon salt and water.
    Simmer 35 minutes.
    Drain and reserve liquid.
    Remove all skin and fat.
