Best Pear Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. thinly sliced peeled pears *
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. water
    1 lemon, thinly sliced, or can use real lemon juice
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (21 oz.) can pork and beans
    2 c. cooked rice
    1/3 c. catsup
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. mustard
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 apple
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Crumble beef into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish; add onion. Microwave on High, uncovered, for 5 to 6 minutes or until meat is no longer pink; drain.
    Add beans, rice, catsup, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, mustard and pepper.
    Mix well.
    Cut apple into 10 thin slices.
    Arrange in clockwise pattern on top of the casserole.
    Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
    Cover with lid.
    Microwave at High for 8 to 9 minutes or until heated through (150\u00b0).
    Serves 6.
