Kentucky Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. applesauce
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    4 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Combine
    flour,
    sugar,
    oil, applesauce, cinnamon, egg yolks and
    hot water in order listed; beat until smooth.
    Stir in pecans.
    Beat
    egg
    whites
    until
    stiff; fold into batter. Pour mixture into an ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Invert pan and cool cake completely; remove from
    pan.
    Sprinkle
    top
    of
    cake
    with powdered sugar.
