Butter Nut Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. lemon rind or vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. milk
1 c. chopped pecans
glazed cherries
Preparation

Cream butter until soft and smooth.
Add sugar gradually, creaming after each addition.
Blend in egg yolks and rind and beat until fluffy.
Add half the flour, then milk and remaining flour.
Knead slightly to blend thoroughly.
Chill 1 hour.
