Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream brown sugar, shortening and eggs.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda and add.
Add 3 cups quick oats, vanilla and chopped nuts.
Mix together.
Chill.
Roll in balls and then roll in powdered sugar.
Bake at 375` for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
